Generac is the world's leading manufacturer of home standby generators and their engines are proudly engineered and built in the USA.

Generac was the first manufacturer to utilize an engine designed specifically for the performance requirements of air-cooled generators that operate at 3,600 rpm. The Generac backup generator for home uses an Overhead Valve Industrial (OHVI) engine. A fully pressurized lubrication system keeps critical bearings and other parts immersed in oil at all angles of operation. Low oil shutdown prevents engine damage, and the dual-element air filter extends service intervals while protecting the engine from dirt.

Generac Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) are designed with state-of-the-art features. They can manage power for the whole house or a few essential circuits.

Briggs & Stratton Corporation pioneered the use of aluminum in gasoline engine design.

With more than 100 years of power expertise, four out of five homes throughout the country use products powered by Briggs and Stratton engines. As a leading designer and manufacturer of standby generator systems, they and have garnered the trust of professionals across the globe and offer world-class support with thousands of dealers.

Briggs and Stratton air-cooled standby generators can supply up to 20 kilowatts with an air-cooled engine for managed whole-house power. Liquid-Cooled Models can supply the largest of homes with full power or keep a small to medium-sized business operating during an outage.
